Additionally, if you do find yourself falling, turn Woody so he's facing the side of the plank, and press up against it. It's a broader area, and lessens the likelihood of accidentally running off the side. ![]() If you're walking along a diagonally-oriented plank, try jumping to where it meets the horizontal plank up ahead. If you find yourself falling into the coal too often, there are a couple of techniques which can ease your frustration. They're covered in singed wood, and you'll want to cautiously leap from plank to plank, nabbing any goodies you find in the meantime. At the top, you'll be faced with a row of carts filled with smoldering coal. Pork Chop will unintentionally help you by knocking a big, flat box to the ground use it to reach the top of the blocks. A successful hit will send the porcine perpetrator leering, leaving you free to run onward.Īfter a short jaunt of crate busting and Alien throwing, you'll find another orphan in front of some large, cut blocks of stone. Pork Chop stops firing, then use the Analog Stick to strafe sideways, take aim at the red star target beneath his saucer, and fire away. At the end of the car, stand several steps behind one of the tall crates, and activate Targeting Mode. You can avoid his laser blasts by hiding behind the tall red and gray crates, then moving forward whenever he takes a break from shooting. Pork Chop will occasionally fire upon you from his flying saucer. While continuing toward the train's steam engine, you'll run into more Aliens, and they're as susceptible to Shoulder Charge and tossing as ever. Nab the Special Card, then rescue the orphan, and Roundup Card 1 - Woody will appear nearby. At your left, you'll see an orphan to save, and right in front of you, Special Card 1 - Woody & Friends is just waiting to be picked up. Next, position yourself on the seat, and you'll be sent soaring toward where the cow landed. It will be launched into the distance, and when it lands, it'll cause a tall explosion of dirt and debris. Lob a Pixar Ball at the target to lower the catapult seat, and place the cow on it. Once you've come upon some cows, pick up any one of them, and carry it with you to the catapult up ahead. Above them, the large yellow target (resembling a Pixar Ball) acts as the trap's release. Before long, you'll find an orphan trapped beneath a cage. Pork Chop destroys part of the flatcar, and leap over the wreckage. You can't climb on those pallets, so you'll have to double-jump from the crane platform to the tarp. In front of it, you'll see a series of wooden pallets leaning against tarp-covered boxes. Not much later, you'll reach an iron-lined platform suspended from a crane. You can either double-jump by tapping A, then tapping A again at the height of Woody's leap, or you can leap toward it, grab onto the side, and press A again to pull yourself up. There's two ways to overcome this obstacle. After you've saved the first one, move on until you're stopped by two metal-lined crates covered with tarp. Whenever you approach one of the little buggers, use the B Trigger to release them from their bindings, and they'll be carried away. A few steps later, Buzz Lightyear will crack open a series of cars and let Woody know he's come to help he'll pick up any Orphans you save. Doing so will release flurries of Pixar Balls, yellow plastic balls adorned with a blue stripe and a red star. Use the Shoulder Charge to break open the crates around you, then do it again to burst through the door that's in your way. It's important to familiarize yourself with it, as stunning foes reliably saves Woody from taking too much damage, and turns his enemies into sitting ducks. This maneuver can be used by moving toward your target and wiggling the Wii Remote it's capable of breaking doors and crates, and it also stuns enemies. The first one explains this concept, while the second (using a transparent image of Woody) demonstrates the Shoulder Charge. ![]() Whenever you pop one of them open, you'll see an on-screen hint that helps you understand your next task. Stroll into the first railroad car, and you'll see a few clear Hint Capsules containing yellow question marks.
